Tips To Sell
Wondering when the best time is to list your home on the market? CNBC has come up with these tips to make that decision a little bit easier. In a recent CNBC report, they concluded that Thursday is the most popular day for agents to debut new listings, and homes listed on that day apparently sell fastest, according to Redfin, a real estate brokerage.
Redfin analysts based their findings on a sample of 100,000 homes that sold in 2017. It used Sunday, the worst day to list, as a baseline and then calculated the relative advantages for every other day. Homes listed on Thursday sold on average, five days faster than homes listed on Sunday. Redfin also found homes listed Thursday were more likely to sell within 90 to 180 days.
The idea is that most buyers tour listings over the weekend and they begin planning their weekends on Thursday. Not only did CNBC conclude that Thursday is the best day to list your property, they also concluded that late afternoon is the best time of day to list.
The report states that the afternoon is better because on Thursdays, a lot of agents are listing, so if you list in the morning you could end up further down the list, when you want to be on the top.
If you are thinking of listing your home or property soon, consider these tips to help sell faster, and get the most for your listing.
